Awards | "Refined, elegant and complex nose with a mineral touch to the fresh blueberries and hibiscus. Excellent depth here but rather quiet and understated. Palate is fine-grained and juicy, with a medium body and a long, pure finish. Delicious now, but can hold." - James Suckling "The 2018 La Fleur Vivaltus is 100% Tempranillo sourced from Ribera del Duero. A dark garnet-red in the glass. The nose presents plum and sour cherry notes, complemented by thyme and delicate woody undertones. The palate is dry and creamy, with fine, reactive tannins and a juicy flow leading to a bold but delicate, long-lasting finish full of fruity flavor. A nuanced red." - Vinous "Delicate rose, raspberries, cherries and strawberries on the nose alongside chocolate dusting, violets and caramelised tobacco - such nuance and interest. Smooth and supple on the palate, the spiced notes hit the tongue and cheeks first as well as the intense florality which expands both vertically and horizontally. You get layers of flavour and detail with a medicinal herbal edge. It's quite hefty in its intensity, rich with power and concentration but there is refinement here too in the finesse of the tannins, juiciness and overall integration of all the elements. Ageing 11 months in French oak barrels. Consultant Jean Claude Berrouet." - 95 punten, Decanter over de 2017-vintage "The bottled version of the 2017 La Fleur de Vivaltus shows the ripeness of the warm, dry and early 2017 vintage, but the long élevage has made it good and polished its edges. It seems to be evolving faster and be a vintage for the short term." - 91 punten, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate over de 2017-vintage |
